Geary Builds a Deck

Geary is desperately trying to finish the house so we can convert our construction loan into a low interest mortgage. The rates have started to go up so Geary is determined to be finished. We were initially going to build a formal dining room off our kitchen area. We have run out of money so decided to just put in a deck. Here is the deck in the beginning stages. I'll post more pictures as he finishes up. As of today he's done with the deck...but is working on the railing etc. It looks so very, very, nice. Great Work, honey!

We sat on the deck the other night and watched the moon rise over the mountain. It was beautiful. The kids have enjoyed laying out....and the cat is enjoying her view into the house, and so is our neighbor's german shepherd. We don't know his name so we just call him waffles. The deck is about 4ft off the ground so the animals couldn't see in before.

Right now we have sliding glass doors. Someday, when we are filthy, stinkin' rich, Geary's gonna put in French Doors. Right Honey??? (ewwww....I can see the "eye roll" now) ha ha
