Amber's Scholarships

We are so proud and excited that Amber has received 2 scholarships in addition to a partial Pell Grant. Many THANKS to Keller Lumber for the $500.00 scholarship. They presented the award to Amber during a banquet held at Carlisles Restaurant on Tuesday evening. Mr. Keller is a wonderful man who presented the award along with a lot of good advice. We are so grateful.

Amber also received a 2nd scholarship from Alfa Insurance. She had to interview for this scholarship and was competing against 2 other girls from school. Amber told me after the interview that she had a "good feeling". That good feeling was on mark because the school counselor called me on Wednesday and told me that she was chosen. Amber received a $1000.00 scholarship. It was presented to her during a brunch at 1st Federal Bank in Scottsboro. Below is a picture of Amber with her school counselor. At the brunch the gentleman from Alfa Insurance talked with me and went on and on about how wonderful Amber was. He said she interviewed well and just really "stood out". Way to go Amber!

Amber's step-grandfather Ron Lutz has also graciously offered to help out with books once Amber is enrolled in school. Ron has always been generous with my children. Thanks for watching out for us!
