Softball Season 2010

In the past 12 months she's hit 3 out of the park homeruns and one Grand Slam.

It has been a busy spring. Emily and Megan are both playing softball. Emily's season is beginning to wind down. It started off with a bang....They came in 1st place in the Valley Head Tournament last March. They had 2 games on a Friday night, and 3 games on Saturday. It was a long weekend of softball...but worth the trip as we were able to see Emily hit her first Grand Slam ever! It was their last game on Friday night....a BORING game and the score was 0-0 in the last inning. We batted at the bottom of the inning so we knew if we scored it would be a win for the team. The bases were loaded, we had 2 outs, and Emily was up to bat. Stike one...Strike two....then BAM! It was out of the park and over the fence. They won that game 4-0.

They have not won every game....but they've had a great season which also included some in-field home runs for Emily.

Megan's is playing with an older team this year and she is the youngest team member. We were shocked when they played their first game against Grassy last week. Their pitcher could throw...REALLY throw the ball. Our girls had been hitting, but only at the slow balls their coach sent over the plate. Needless to say they lost their first game 9-0 and went to their next practice knowing they had to improve their fielding and hitting skills. They have another game tonight against the same team. Wish us luck!

But the most important thing is that Megan looks really cute in her uniform.
