CONGRATULATIONS MELISSA!
Melissa graduated from Virginia College on June 25, 2009. We were very happy and proud to attend her graduation ceremony at the Von Braun Center where Melissa received her diploma from the School of Cosmetology. Not only did she graduate...she graduated with honors.
The Carlsons, Andrew, Alex, Nick, Jessica, Geary, and myself, along with Melissa's Mom - Mary, and her step-dad- Rob, all attended the graduation. Geary treated everyone to pizza afterwards. We're very proud of Melissa. She worked part time while attending school. She often stayed up until 1 or 2 in the morning (sometimes later) to study and complete different projects. She was up and off to school by 7 each morning. Even though she struggled with the fumes (from perm solutions) and headaches that landed her into the ER - she remained determined to finish. Right now Melissa is working at Great Clips! STAY TUNED FOR MORE EXCITING UPDATES ON MELISSA AND HER FUTURE PLANS!
After the graduation we were heading home and saw a couple cool cars pulling into the parking lot for a car show. Of Course Geary had me take some pictures. They're attached just for fun. Old cars are a big part of our family life. The more rust the better....in Geary's eyes.
