The Woodville girls basketball team will be at home when the postseason begins next week.
Tristin Loudermilk scored a game-high 18 points while Emily Huston had 17 and Baylee Webb 10 as the host Panthers defeated Athens Bible 52-42 Friday night.
The victory moved Woodville (11-10) to 7-0 in Class 1A Area 15, securing it the regular season league title and the rite to host the area tournament next week.
Woodville got a fight from the visitors on Homecoming before pulling away in the final quarter. The Panthers led 14-13, 29-26 and 37-36 at the quarter breaks before outscoring Athens Bible 15-6 in the final eight minutes to seal the win.
