It has been an interesting morning. Our family spent the morning shopping and wrapping presents for a family in need. It felt really good to do something nice for someone else. Haylie and Shelby took the presents to the family (since they wouldn't be recognized) and introduced themselves as Santa's helpers. The children loved getting presents and beamed when they heard that the were on Santa's "good "list.
Later this morning we got a call from the Limestone County Sheriffs office. They found one of our cars abandoned in the middle of a field. The hood was left up, and the fenders were missing. After some phone calls we discovered that it was Jessica's 1993 Honda Civic. It was stolen out of the parking lot of the apartment complex she where she lives. Because the car was stolen from Ardmore and recovered in Limestone she has to deal with police paperwork etc.
What a run around. They even questioned her as if she had something to do with the car being stolen. She only had liability insurance....so what good would it do her to have someone steal her car. The police are a piece of work.
It will be a Merry Christmas anyway. Pray for Jessica and Charley. This will put them in a financial bind. We don't even know if the car is drivable....but it's not looking good.
